Frequently Asked Questions
How can we buy the pieces?
My online store is the most comprehensive collection of our stock, but you can browse pieces in person at retail spots around the island, and during pop-up events - find those here.
Currently in the online store, online payments are not yet accepted. Therefore, orders are completed by payment on pickup, via cash or cheque. Credit/Debit Cards are not yet accepted. Please bear with me while I iron out more convenient payment methods for you.
What are the pieces made of?
All of the metals used in my products are either sterling silver or gold filled.
Sterling Silver is a metal alloy, meaning it's made of a combination of metals. Sterling Silver, also known as 925 Silver, is made of 92.5% silver, and 7.5% alloy, usually copper or zinc.
I also use 14/20K Gold Filled metals. Gold filled metals have a solid layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base metal, usually jeweller's brass. The layer of gold is thicker than that on gold plated pieces, and therefore is far more durable and suited for everyday wear. Gold filled is an affordable alternative and considered the next best option to solid gold pieces.
How do I know my size?
At the moment most necklaces, bracelets, and anklets are ready-made at average sizes. As more made-to-order pieces become available, you'll be able to choose your size on order.
Find the size and dimensions of each piece in its item description. Here's a guide to find your ideal size for each category of jewellery.
How do I care for the pieces?
Sterling Silver may react with oils in the skin, or chemicals in the air, and produce tarnish. Avoid exposing sterling silver to sweat or perfumes, and store it in an airtight box or bag when not being worn. Tarnish is a natural occurrence with sterling silver pieces, and can be easily cleaned off with silver cleaner.
For my gold-filled pieces, tarnish is uncommon, and should hold its shine for a long time. However, gold-filled pieces still require care for longevity. Avoid wearing it in pools, hot tubs, or while at the gym. Put your jewellery on after applying lotion, sunscreen, cosmetics and perfumes, and give them a light clean if any of this is unavoidable. Clean with gentle dish soap and water, or gold-filled cleaner.
Do you do repairs?
I absolutely will repair pieces made by me. Certain gold-filled pieces may not be able to be repaired - it depends on the break. I tend not to repair pieces that aren't made by me, but I can recommend a local jeweller who specialises in repairs. Reach out for repair info.
